I found something interesting that I had to share. Many animals end up in shelters because their owners cannot afford to care for them. I found a website that offers free pet food and supplies. To qualify you have live below the poverty line and own a pet. I think this is a great idea. If you are able to use this I hope you qualify or if you can donate please do!
If you live in MN Fur Ever Kindness provides short term help to those who cannot afford to care for their pets. I believe they are also working towards creating a pet food bank.
I would also like to add that there are several Purina coupons out right now through Target and Coupons.com.
